Steps on How to Clean Hardwood Floors Naturally

  • Remove Dark spots and pet stains. Rub the spot with steel wool and floor wax.
  • To remove heel marks use fine steel wool and rub in floor wax.
  • For removing oil stains, rub the area with a soft cloth and dish detergent, this will break down the grease. Now, clean the area with water. The stain pertains, repeat the step.
  • To remove watermarks or white stains, rub the spot with fine wool and floor wax. If your stain is harder, then lightly sand the floor. Now, clean using fine steel wool and odorless mineral spirits. 

How To Deep Clean Hardwood Floors By Hand?

Tools required:

  •       Dry Mop/Broom/Vacuum
  •       Wet Mop/Spray Mop
  •       Mop Pads
  •       Floor Deep Cleaner

⇒ Step 1:

Get rid of dust with a dry mop, broom, or vacuum.

Note: Clean in the direction of floorboards.

⇒ Step 2:

Wet mop the floors using a microfiber pad to get rid of dirt or any particles left behind while dusting.

⇒ Step 3:

Locate areas with tough stains or buildup on or between the floorboards. Clean them using a floor cleaner. 

⇒ Step 4:

Mop floors in the direction of the boards with your deep cleaner. Focus on small areas, changing the mop pad accordingly.

⇒ Step 5:

Double-check floors after cleaning and see if there are any stains or build-up remaining.
